Overview
Keswick Marketplace, located in Keswick, Ontario, is the first major retail centre in the Town of Georgina. Anchored by Walmart, this Power Centre will span over 250,000 sq. ft and offer a range of services including general merchandise, groceries, financial services, and dining options.
The centre will also feature specialty retail stores and a Long-Term Care Home, catering to the needs of the expanding community and providing a central hub for shopping and services.
Impact and Location
Keswick Marketplace is designed to support the growing community, with extensive residential development planned in the surrounding area over the coming years. The centre will play a key role in accommodating the needs of both current and future residents.
Strategically located just north of the Highway 404 Ravenshoe Road exit, Keswick Marketplace will serve the existing Keswick community to the west as well as the neighboring towns of Georgina and East Gwillimbury to the east and south.
Community
Keswick is a growing community at the Northern edge of the GTA on the shores of Lake Simcoe; and is considered a top summer destination with waterfront shops, marinas and cottages within minutes of Downtown. Keswick’s current population is about 30,000 individuals, and is therefore the Town of Georgina’s largest community, (that has an estimated total population of 46,000 people).
Keswick Marketplace is located on the Eastern edge of the Keswick community on Woodbine Ave, the main traffic route between Newmarket and Sutton. There is retail to the North and in the Downtown area to the West (The Queensway), with a local public school and a Catholic high school located just down the street.
Developer
Toronto-based CRAFT Group consists of an experienced, creative team with over 150 years of collective development experience; that have been involved in the development of over 6 million square feet of retail, office, and residential projects across southern Ontario, Florida and Pennsylvania.
